因為人類行為對自然環境的過度索取，使得地球生態已面臨著嚴峻考驗，2010年各種自然災害頻繁發生。為喚起全人類共同關注地球垂危的生命，佛光山開山宗長星雲大師發起，由人間衛視與香港鳳凰衛視共同合作，拍攝關注人類和環境危機的紀錄片《地水火風 緣起再見－人與地球的共生智慧》。從人文關懷到國際視野，從溫室效應到心靈環保，期盼宣導社會大眾節約惜福、環保護生的觀念，共同本著「無緣大慈、同體大悲」的精神，為建設人間淨土，盡一份心力。

Due to the excessive exploitations of human beings’ encroachment upon the natural environment, thereby putting the earth ecology to very severe testing. Ever since 2010, all sorts of different natural disasters took place frequently in various spots of the world. With a view to waking up humanity’s concerns for the endangered planet, the founder of Fo Guang Shan Ven. Master Hsing-Yun launched a project that was carried out by BLTV in cooperation with Phoenix Satellite T. V. of Hong Kong to shoot a documentary film regarding the mankind and the environmental crisis. Entitled ”Earth, water, fire& wind, an interdependent regeneration – The symbiotic wisdom between mankind and Earth.” In the film, it covers the topics from humane concerns to international perspective, from global warming effect to spiritual environmental protection. They all aim at guiding people towards the concepts of saving and sparing as well as environmental and live protections. As a result, based on the spirit of “ Causeless mercy and fellow-feeling compassion” let us do our utmost to establish a pure land on earth.
